another uneventful day

day 2 of my uneventful days.
just went to a meeting for a small project at Lincoln Center. I was a bit anxicious because there was a bit of drama (?) over the e-mail correspondence. But it turned out the people there were very nice and excited about our project.

Went to B & H afterward. pretty crazy place. I wish I can find a store that has a large selection as B & H but less hectic... anyway bought 5 roll of B&W films and 120 films. can't wait to receive the TLR camera I won on e bay.

finished reading "the middle east for dummies." a bit overwhelmed by information, but feels good to finish the book cover to cover. but the book was almost full of centuries long conflicts, and only last two chapters were dedicated to culture and people of the region. it is sad. also watched a few video news about Iraq on NY times. all of them covered the lives of ordinary people. they go to college, play in a park, and try to make their ends meet, just like us here. but there is a big difference. what can I do? I am very very curious to see how the art (especially performing arts) functions and influences people in the region. would it be different from here?

Capote

just finished two productions. one month vacation begins. I was really looking forward to it, but once it starts, don't know what to do. work on photography, and see lots of movies, theaters, exhibitions and take photos.
