Went to see Cloud Gate Dance Company of Taiwan at BAM. "Wild Cursive."

very good. very evocative. strong dance. beautiful body. beautiful in asian way. not in western way. and very meditative at the same time. strong but calm at the same time. not theatrical. jaxpositive of images.

Went to see a Romanian show at LaMama

The show was interesting, though a bit old fashioned and too dramatic at some moments. I like the lighting, which was very simple. Basically two cues: bright N/C, and cool footlight. It mostly stayed in N/C cue, which I thought worked well.
